What to check before buying

• Not suitable for ankle boots, tall boots or high heels. They neither fit underneath nor sit steadily on top.
• Measure the highest point of the shoe that goes underneath; slippers and flats fit easily, while thick-soled trainers may be borderline.
• Allow for your shelf spacing as well. The height of the ramp plus the height of the shoe on top has to fit the shelf; in cabinets with narrow spacing you gain less room.
